I'm currently working at a site that is located on the edge of the Book Cliffs, a famous area for hunting. Because it can take up to ten years for a hunter to get a license for this area, deer that are considered huge in Mississippi are passed up for the larger "trophies". This means since the deer haven't been hunted as much then they are less scared of man. I'm not a hunter myself so I enjoy being able to drive up close to entire herds and take pictures. Today I took a 3 hour break from my work week to explore the countryside. A co-worker and I saw in excess of 50 deer. Here are just a few photos of the deer we saw and the area we explored.
